The auction is the main activity and the core of FEMAGO, the great difference is in the sale,thar is directly from the farmer. We describe the whole process.
Work and production model
The first stage, which varies depending on the life cycles of the fresh products, is the production of the fruit and vegetables.
Grown either by individual farmers or in plantations, the products sold are:
• Tomato (in all of its varieties)
• Pepper (Lamuyo, California, Italian. In all colours)
• Cucumber (in all of its varieties)
• Aubergine
• Courgette
• Beans (in all varieties)
• Melon
• Water melon
• Cabbage
• Huge range of citrus and other fruits through our purchasing centre, Uniagro
Intermediaries, and one of our main missions has always been to work side by side with the food growers. No horticultural project that does not keep these considerations in mind can become a leader in its area.
A field technician is not just someone who issues certifications for Quality Standards and measures technical variables; the group's collaborators are veritable advisers on almost a dozen areas that are key to the success of Integrated Pest Management and phytosanitary efforts, product presentation, control of water.
